Melzingah Tap House’s Patio Is Now Dog-Friendly
If you’ve ever strolled Main Street in Beacon with your pup and thought, “If only we could grab a bite without having to tie you up outside…”—we heard you.
Melzingah Tap House is officially dog-friendly in our outdoor pavilion. That means more sunny afternoons, cold craft beer, and good eats—without leaving your four-legged friend behind.
Whether you’re meeting up with friends after a hike or just in the mood for a patio lunch with your pup, we’ve got the perfect spot. Water bowls? Yep. Friendly staff who love dogs? Definitely. A shady spot for them to chill while you sip? Absolutely.
What You Need to Know Before Bringing Your Pup
We’re thrilled to welcome well-behaved dogs to dine with their humans outside, but to keep things safe, clean, and fun for everyone, here are a few ground rules from the state (and just good dog-owner etiquette):
- Dogs must remain on a leash and by your side at all times. No laps, chairs, or free-range wandering.
- Please check-in and enter through the pavilion—pups aren’t allowed indoors, even for a quick hello.
- We’ve got water bowls! But please don’t share your plate—no food for furry guests.
- Accidents happen, but clean-ups are a must. (We’ve got supplies if you’re in a pinch.)
- Keep barking to a minimum. We all get excited, but a peaceful patio makes happy neighbors.
- Sick, aggressive, or overly anxious dogs should sit this one out.
Basically: if your dog’s the kind who’d ace a brewery manners test, they’re welcome here.
When to Visit
Our pavilion is open seasonally, weather permitting. We recommend coming during non-peak hours (think lunch or early dinner) if your dog prefers a quieter scene. The Beacon crowd loves a good patio moment, especially when the sun’s out.
Visiting Beacon with Your Dog?
You’re in luck—Beacon is one of the Hudson Valley’s most dog-friendly towns. And now with Melzingah Tap House on your route, you don’t have to choose between a great meal and great company (two-legged or four).
So next time you’re planning a day out with your pup, put us on the list.
We’ll save you a patio seat—and maybe a biscuit or two.
